This is the first in a series of report on the Family in the Arab World aimed at increasing the knowledge base on the Arab family. The purpose of the first series is conducting a systematic review and critical analysis of the literature on types, trends and current state of the institution of marriage in the Arab World. It covers multiple topics including marriage and migrations, delayed marriage, societal changes in attitudes toward marriage in the Arab World and presents recommendations that support strong, healthy families.
