
The Center for Gulf Studies at Qatar University organized the 8th annual international interdisciplinary conference entitled “Gulf Families:Continuity and Change” in collaboration with the Doha International Family Institute
As part of the 63rd session of Commission on Narcotic Drugs, DIFI represented by its Executive Director, Dr. Sharifa Noaman AlEmadi, participated in a side event on “Family-oriented policies in drug prevention” organized by the United Nations Interregional Crime &Justice Research Institute.
Held in Vienna, the event was co organized in partnership with United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA) and Pompidou Group, and Council of Europe.
The side event discussed the policies, practices and interventions that have proven to exert a positive impact on the prevention of drug use within a family and their roles including building an efficient system of services responsive to their needs capable of establishing effective interactions with support networks
The Doha International Family Institute (DIFI) has launched the OSRA research grant in its sixth cycle which is a research grant on Arab families and family policy related issues.
