DIFI, in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) – Arab States Regional Office will organize an expert group meeting to discuss “Integrating a Family Perspective in the SDGs in the Arab countries: Aspirations and Challenges”.
The expert group meeting aims to explore role, added value and feasibility for a “family perspective” to the achievement of several sustainable development goals (SDGs) and targets with emphasis on the goals supporting the welfare, protection, participation and rights of individuals.
The primary objective of the meeting is to provide expert analysis of the contribution of families to the achievement of SDGs and to understand the challenges Arab countries, in particular, face in integrating families in development strategies.
Participants will include academia, researchers, representatives of United Nations entities, civil society organizations and other stakeholders.

The Doha International Family Institute (DIFI) and the Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF) have launched the OSRA research grant which is an annual research grant on Arab families and family policy related issues.
