DIFI presents on Work Family Balance in ARC18 (19 – 20 Mar)

The Doha International Family Institute (DIFI), presented at the Qatar Foundation Annual Research Conference 2018, during a session held under the pillar of Social Sciences, Arts & Humanities. Dr. Azza Abdelmoneium, Senior Lead Researcher at DIFI highlighted the institutes’s research project “Work-Family Balance in Qatar”, in her presentation titled ‘Exploring the challenges of Work-Family Balance among Qatari Families: Experiences & Implications”.

The overall objective of this research project is to identify the challenges and experiences of working parents in Qatar and to provide evidence to examine existing work-family balance policies in Qatar. It covers issues related to parenting, parental/marital satisfaction, leave policies, and the overall wellbeing of working parents and provides evidence for policy recommendations on how to enhance work-family balance.

The theme of the ARC conference for 2018 is “R&D: Focused on Priorities, Delivering Impact’ featuring various sessions related to the four thematic pillars defined in Qatar’s National Research Strategy (QNRS) – Energy and Environment, Computing and Information Technology, Health, and Social Sciences, and Arts and Humanities.
