World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH)

The Doha International Family Institute (DIFI) organized a panel discussion on the role of the state in empowering people with disabilities (PWD) and their families, as part of the sessions held during the World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH).

H.E. Mariam bint Abdullah Al-Attiyah, Chairperson of the National Human Rights Committee, and HE Maged Abdelfattah, permanent representative at the League of Arab States to the United Nations, and Dr. Sharifa Noaman Al Emadi, Executive Director of DIFI participated in the session.

Moreover, DIFI experts participated in presented a working paper entitled “Excessive Use of Digital Technology in Teens: Perspectives of Parents, Adolescents and Digital Addiction Professionals in Qatar”, during the summit, in partnership with WISH, WISE and Hamad Bin Khalifa University. The aim of the study is to find out the effect of excessive use of digital technologies on family cohesion and pattern of relationships within the family, the health of children and adults, as well as the educational level.
