In collaboration with United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (UNESCWA), DIFI organizes a Consultation Meeting on Family-Sensitive Social Protection (FSSP), on 26-27 June, 2018, Doha - Qatar.
A project that provides a unique opportunity for intellectual and policy debate to promote family-focused social protection where experts will reflect on both the family trends in different regions/countries & specific issues in family-sensitive social policy.
The Doha International Family Institute (DIFI), a member of Qatar Foundation, recently held a panel discussion on ‘Supporting Families Affected by Wars and Conflicts: Experiences of NGOs in Qatar’, at the United Nations (UN) Headquarters in New York.
Convened as part of the preparations for the 20th anniversary of the International Year of the Family in 2014.
Offered an opportunity for multi-stakeholders to exchange experiences and policy lessons from countries including the Arab region, and help to consolidate the Decent Work approach in the national development strategies.
Aimed to inform its attendees about DIIFSD activities and future projects on topics related to the family.
Convened as part of the preparations for the 20th anniversary of the International Year of the Family, 2014. It aimed to discuss the following: poverty, work-family balance and intergenerational solidarity.
