On Qatar national family day, DIFI organized a panel discussion titled: Finding a Balance Between Work and Parenting Responsibilities: What Policies are in Place to Support this Balance?”

The panel on “Finding a Balance Between Work and Parenting Responsibilities: What Policies are in Place to Support this Balance?” took place to mark the National Family Day. It highlighted the importance of balance between work and parenting responsibilities. The panel examined the needed policies to active such balance. Dr. Hanan Fayyad, a faculty member at Qatar University, called during her participation for better policies such as, extended maternity leaves, paternity leave, flexible working hours, and the provision of nurseries at the workplace.
