On the 2nd May, prior to the Annual conference DIFI will be hosting two workshops:

Introductory Training Course: Writing Research Proposals’ taught by Research Scientists from the American University of Cairo the workshop will aim to teach proposal writing by focusing on the vital components that comprise a research proposal and introducing the skills and components needed to do it effectively.

Application of MaxQDA in Qualitative Research Data Analysis” with Research Specialists from the University of Michigan, the workshop will be held in Qatar University’s Social and Economic Survey Research Institute (SESRI). It will introduce the use of software tools in qualitative research data analysis and demonstrate the various functions of MaxQDA software from preparing data to retrieving coded text and the effective application of MaxQDA.
